Rachel Saunders is fully certified in Pilates apparatus, mat and Pilates for golf. She has over 20 years of experience in fitness and health and has developed her own style of Pilates called the 'Saunders Method' as well as a group Pilates training format called 'Peek-Into-Pilates Strictly Fundamentals'.
In addition to her Pilates training, Rachel is certified as a personal trainer, TRX instructor, kickboxing instructor and is licensed to teach Zumba.
Rachel first developed her appreciation and respect for Pilates in 1995, after incorporating it into her rehabilitation program as a means of managing debilitating and chronic pain and imbalances resulting from an auto accident. As an athlete, song and dance performer, fitness trainer and instructor, the thought of continued pain and limited mobility was unacceptable. The amazing benefits and lasting results Rachel experienced in a short time fueled her desire to delve deeper into this "mysterious Method" of full body conditioning and strengthening.
Through Pilates, Rachel is transforming not only how bodies look and feel on the outside but also how they function on the inside. Through her teachings, Rachel stresses the importance of a strong pelvic floor and core for men and women to aid in such matters as incontinence and sexual health.
